Paul M. Hecht, successful author of Everyday Real Estate MillionairesTM , bought and sold his first property at the age of twenty one using none of his own money or credit. Ninety days later, he had resold the property and made a $7,000.00 profit. He has been investing in real estate in one form or another ever since.
Paul’s extensive real estate knowledge came through both education and real life experience. Never one to believe everything he read or was told, he found that the best way to learn was by doing.
Paul’s vast and varied investment experience includes property flips, rentals, rehabs, lease options and rent-to- owns, pre-foreclosures and selling contracts. From single family to multi-family buildings and condo conversions, he has invested as a principal, with partners and has been involved in numerous joint ventures.
As Paul’s expertise increased, he decided to share what he had learned with others. He began speaking at various events internationally, training both groups and individuals on the ins and outs of investing in real estate. From beginners to the most advanced investors, some with little money to spare, others with thousands or even millions to invest, many have benefited from Paul’s insight, know-how and investment acumen.
In the meantime, while pursuing his dream of financial freedom, Paul made the grave mistake of investing all his money into one single business and put all his trust into his new partners. When the business failed, Paul struggled to repay the debt personally. After a year of trying to make ends meet, he was forced to declare bankruptcy.
With a wife and two small children at home, with no money and no credit, he did not have the luxury of wallowing or regrouping. He turned to what he knew and loved the most – real estate. With hard work and perseverance, in just twenty four months he became a Self-Made Real Estate Millionaire.
These days, Paul continues to invest in real estate. He maintains ownership in single family homes and multi-family apartment buildings and continues to build his real estate investment portfolio.
